Whether in the pages of Elektra: Assassin, SPIN Magazine, New Mutants, Entertainment Weekly, Moon Knight, or Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend of Jimi Hendrix, Bill Seinkiewicz has stretched the concept of ‘comic art’ to the masses.

On today’s episode of the Indie Show, hosts David and Scott speak with two independent comic book creators that still consider themselves ‘fanboys.’  Up first is Sina Grace who lets us in on his observative and charming comic, Books with Pictures, which is a fictional tale set in the very real ‘Hi DeHo Comic Shop’ in Santa Monica.  Then, Tony Fleecs joins the show to chat about his work, In My Lifetime which is a hilarious, original auto-bio and is a must-read, quite frankly.  Let us know what you think about the interviews and the new bed music by Tim Drennon.

Tis’ a sad, sad time for fans of Captain America.  Steve Rogers is dead and we have much to discuss.  Scott, Oliver and Sean start on a lighter note speaking with film-maker Arturo Ruiz Esparza about his feature-length comic book movie, Veritas: Prince of Truth which opens next weekend but then dive into the contriversy of the hero’s assassination.  Many callers including poet John Osborne and comic writer Matt Fraction stop by to mourn the loss of an icon.
