Fanboy Radio #365 – Gene Yang & Molly Crabapple

In this incredibly bi-polar January Indie Show, hosts David and Scott speak with two completely opposite artists.  Gene Yang was a finalist for the 2006 National Book Award for the Young People’s Literature category with his graphic novel, American Born Chinese published by First Second.  Gene has also explored comics used as an educational tool and has created The Rosary Comic Book out by Pauline Books & Meida that is an adaptation of the Rosary Prayer.  On the flip-side, Molly Crabapple is a burlesque dancer, model and illustrator of Mr. Sketchy Official Rainy Day Coloring Book whose goal is to breathe life into the live model sketch session.  Tune in for one doosey of an Indie Show hour.

On the second half, it’s guys of ‘Gearhead‘ – writer Dennis Hopeless and artist Kevin Mellon. It just so happens that both groups of creators are big fans of the show – how about that!
